Good news nga, sigurado mas malaki ang market natin because now our Latin American brothers will realize they look like us mostly. Peru is a good start- majority of the population is actually Amerindian, plus there is a big Asian migrant population from Japan & China. Only 15% is White & their big mestizo population practically look like Filipinos.Nowadays they still think Pinoys are Mongoloid because that's the propaganda from our Northeast Asian brothers who invest big for promoting their "Asians are Mongoloid" look there. If Bridges of Love becomes a hit, Peru is a good start. From there, it's easy to win the rest of the Andes nations with big mestizo population like Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, even Chile, Colombia & Venezuela later on. The latter two might be harder because they are big producers of telenovela therefore competitors but their majority mixed population also look like Pinoys therefore it's not hard to foresee they will warm up to Pinoy teleseryes
ReplyDeleteThey should translate into Spanish the original Pangako Sa Yo. It was a hit wherever it was shown & it definitely will be a hit in Latin America. The stars there were all beautiful even compared to Latin American standards- Kristine Hermosa, Eula Valdez & Jean Garcia
