Christian Bautista & Jessica Sanchez - Two Forevers (LIVE & Lyric Video)

The comeback of former American Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez produced a nice duet with the leading balladeer of Southeast Asia, Christan Bautista. Goose bumps at many points, the fringe benefits of doing a showbiz blog.

Callalily - Now I'm Dancing (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO & LIVE)

If you're wondering why we have a DONATE button on the sidebar, there's a story behind that. Somebody wrote that we should put up an online store because he'll buy anything from our group so we can make this blog bigger & turn it into a "media company". Wow, I didn't even think of putting up ads and here's somebody wanting us to put up an online store. But I wrote back that since he wanted to buy, why shouldn't he just donate so I can buy my teenage assistants some ice cream. It was a joke but he put up his cash where his mouth was. He donated immediately and I am not planning to buy ice cream but some wireless camera so we can be real detectives here (He didn't eventually use the DONATE button, he emailed he's gonna give a check and I sent the assistant over). What now, will we be in the business of publishing "in flagrante" scandals? Next, we might buy a drone fitted with secret cameras? Or will we buy GMA or ABS-CBN?

Hmm, getting interesting indeed. Well, prior to this blog, during the times when I didn't know any Pinoy actor, I knew some OPM, and  I knew Callalily.

James Reid feat. Pio - Musikaw LIVE

I guess, I really don't know if we ever have any award-giving body or even magazine/newspaper which we must take seriously. At least, I'm now bothering to glance at them now that I am doing this blog but just the same, I still don't take them seriously. We have those preposterous Most Beautiful lists, then we have Best this and Best that which most don't bother with really like most of what happens in Pinoy showbiz. I guess it's good for the local economy, money is moving. Fortunately, they are forgotten immediately and only those who won some puny bragging rights remember it.

Of course, we are left with some clips that really interest us. The top three songs that got the most hits in this blog this July are this song, Musikaw, Anja's I Owe You My Love (it skyrocketed when I changed the picture to that showing the torso of Clint Bondad) and Caleb Santos'  You Are Mine (with my anecdote about my former lesbian friend).

Jadine in Laoag

The screams were captured alright but unfortunately the songs were drowned out by fans' hysterics. Consider it then a mere snapshot anthropological study, a docu drama of the times: the fans all whipped out their smartphones, the lights were sleek and modern, this happening in the northernmost city of the country. It so happens Ilocos Norte has one of the best GNP per capita in the country. This is the opening of the concert.

EXTREME ROCK BIRIT: AEGIS - in HONG KONG & TOKYO, JAPAN

The so-called "National Band". Youtube is replete with the fanmade videoclips of their concerts  in many cities of the world, entertaining the Pinoy diaspora in small & big venues.  They gave the Philippines some of the most powerful contemporary songs, but unfortunately, wanting are the sleek music videos which could have perpetuated the power of their music in a more sophisticated light.
This is Birit at its most hard-core.

James Reid - Bonfire Love Song (LIVE, MAKING-OF VIDEO & MORE GIRL SCREAMS)

Surprisingly, I'm loving the Reid Alert album of James, and my favorites are Randomatic, 10 & this song. I hope they release a music video. Here's a live performance in a mall promo tour, but the problem with live shows of James, you may have a hard time figuring out the song out of the screams.

In that case, buy the album. It's really great. Here he is talking how it got made:

Chinese New Year with James Reid: It's Not the Firecracker, folks.. It's Girlscreams!

This was supposed to be a Chinese New Year celebration, but apparently, they substituted the firecrackers with girl screams. I am sure, that will so scare the evil spirits the coming year will be more prosperous. And fun. Yeah, it's true, it's more fun in the Philippines.
