These are somewhat icky times in Pinoy showbiz & Pinoy politics definitely has more sizzle, but Pinoy teleserye continues with its steady march forward. The JaDine loveteam of James Reid & Nadine Lustre was the first among the Pinoy loveteams to catch my attention two years ago. They have since filmed many movies & two teleseryes, to varying degrees of acclaim, but they managed to be included into the Big 3 young loveteams of the country. It has been a puzzle why for sometime, nobody was buying their first teleserye while those of the other two big Pinoy loveteams Kathniel & Lizquen were readily flying high in many parts of the world. Nearly a year after its release, it finally got shown in Indonesia late last year. Then Myanmar, now Africa.

The JaDine loveteam is at a crossroads. Their last two films have been disappointments, so with their second teleserye, Til I Met You. What's next for the team?

So, one of our more recognizable actors in many parts of the world where Pinoy teleseryes are shown, has a romantic singing voice. Teleserye has become one of the biggest telenovela products in the world, and an intercontinental hit like Pangako Sa 'Yo/ The Promise/ La Promesa/ Janjiku/айна, ensures that a dashing and competent actor like Ian Veneracion can become a known international actor.

I didn't know he could sing as well. So well, in fact.

BRIDGES OF LOVE showing on MNCTV INDONESIA

There are now three teleseryes showing on MNCTV Indonesia, one after the other starting at 8 PM (20:00 WIB): Double Kara, Bridges of Love & Forevermore.

Bridges of Love is the 6th teleserye to be shown this year in Indonesia.

Well, if it's hot, it's hot. I didn't bother to post the trailer of this movie because I didn't want some characters who unfortunately found their way there to appear in my blog. We have some standards to uphold here. Anyway, I knew Lizquen (Enrique Gil & Liza Soberano) will shine above the litter or I wouldn't have bothered devoting many posts to them. I was sure the beauty of the pair could overwhelm all the tacky views which were unceremoniously mixed in into the product.

The prettiest loveteam is still pretty... Will this movie be the top box-office hit of 2017?

Teleserye Trailer: DESTINED TO BE YOURS Starring ALDUB

This is a milestone for GMA's top loveteam. Their first teleserye will be a test for the so-called Aldub Nation, how their actual numbers will be reflected in the TV Ratings. Definitely, one of the more suspenseful moments in Pinoy loveteam history. Will the AGB Nielsen & Kantar figures jive this time?

CAUTIVA/HANGGANG MAKITA KANG MULI opens on PANAMERICANA TV PERU on February 14

Starting February 14, there will be two teleseryes shown on Peru's Panamericana TV. At 4:30 PM, the GMA teleserye Hanggang Makita Kang Muli (titled as Cautiva) will start its run. At 5:30, the ABS-CBN teleserye Pangako Sa 'Yo (La Promesa) hurtles towards the homestretch at its usual sked.

2017 GRANDMA UNIVERSE is Filipina Agnes Jakosalem

The 65th Miss Universe  has just been selected in Manila but we didn't win there. We prioritize the winners. We won in another one held last January 22 in Bulgaria. A grandma from Cebu, Agnes Jakosalem, won the grandma version.

Well, we still started the year right, by winning the first beauty pageant of the year. Even grandmas here know how to strut their stuff.

FOREVERMORE opens February 1 on MNCTV INDONESIA

 Indonesia will be the first country in Southeast Asia to fully enjoy the Big 3 Pinoy young loveteams. Kathniel of Daniel Padilla & Kathryn Bernardo  just seared the Indonesian TV charts with Pangako Sa 'Yo/ Janjiku and Jadine of James Reid & Nadine Lustre is still wowing them with On The Wings of Love. The first two loveteams have already won the hearts of Indonesian youths. I bet they will just as heartily welcome the third. Now, here comes the prettiest among the bunch- Lizquen of Enrique Gil & Lisa Soberano with Forevermore.
