I like reading mystery thrillers, the SD card of my phone has thousands of ebooks of them. That probably explains why I have a fast eye in catching the details that don't belong in a narrative. If you have noticed, I have been featuring many of those discovered "mysteries" here (I never knew showbiz has lots of them). The film "Para Sa Hopeless Romantic" (PSHR) was supposed to be shown in January but it was postponed for whatever reason indefinitely until a May play date was found. Ah, probably they were making sure they found a safe date, you say? That's a usual custom, shop for a safe date, away from competition which could divide the market. But what have we here? Surprisingly, wonder of wonders, the first international hit of the year for the youth market, the same market as PSHR, turned up to run smack against it! Accident? or was the "distributor" actually waiting for Pitch Perfect 2 in order to derail the film?
It could have been all innocent but the preponderance of evidence of bad intent suggests otherwise. The impression you get is that the film was exhausted by various undermining moves along the way, until it was supposed to be finally maneuvered to be run over by a speeding giant train (Fortunately, it wasn't run over). We have been tracking the methodical undermining of the film (and the Jadine love team & against the teen idols themselves); for a taste of the latest, I suggest read this article HERE, especially the comments for an introduction into this dirty game. They tried to give Viva a fait accompli but I think, it's not done yet, there are lots of wiggle room. Look at the Comments in another article (Read the COMMENTS below the article) for a list of suggested initial countermoves.
The problem is that young people are being victimized here. Their only fault was they admired their idols. But the cold-blooded adults are just out to use them for their selfish narrow-minded & parochial intrigues. We have a glimpse of the "slaughter of innocents" here. Below is a conversation online that I copied from a fan club Instagram account where they were wondering why their online votes were not appearing.

Kasumpa-sumpa
ReplyDeletePara palang dumaan sa giyera ang Jadine, sniper fire kabi-kabila, friendly at enemy side tumitira. Buti na lang, matibay sila
ReplyDeleteThanks BTW. I don't know if you realized how much you helped the Jadine team. Just the other day, Jadine was suddenly declared the most popular love team by PEP & Guillermo de Vega Foundation. Then ABSCBN is suddenly going full-blast with the promotion of "OTWOL", suddenly profession of love for the team have filled the air. Damage control, however you see it. Good, as long as they mean it this time & have removed the dark perpetrators inside. It was a big operation after all, sabotage from the internet hackings up to the manipulation of the schedule of the playdate. I have a suggestion: I know you do this only for fun but why don't you turn your blogging into a bigger operation? You have proved you are a capable journalist, exposing a supposedly sophisticated high-technology operation worthy of a James Bond script. You have taste in music besides (XD.. like me Ha ha ha ha). I know you only want to cull the ugly faces but why not involve yourself in a bigger way, bagay sa iyo ang job, have you thought of that? Pinoy showbiz certainly needs somebody intelligent & learned like you. Congratulations again!
ReplyDeleteI finally got your point. I actually thought you were anti-Mongoloid. But discovering the video of Janice here singing a Chinese song gave me pause & think

I agree with you. There are efforts to popularize those with Chinese blood here but they shouldn't be chosen just because they have Chinese blood like the lousy ones we have now. They have to look right. May I add; they should be more beautiful than those in our neighbors because we have high standards here. Better than Fan Bing Bing, better than those Korean retokadas, better than Namie Amoru (An Italian mestiza). Ellen Adarna is a start. Should not be less.
Naku, Abscbn was just a tool, there's a deeper dark story. watch out for Kalahi corporation. Isip isip
ReplyDelete10:48, dapat lahat artista natin mas maganda sa lahat sa paligid natin, better than the competition. Di na uso ang panget, bawal na, tama na
ReplyDelete11:37, what is KALAHI CORPORATION? Explain pls
ReplyDeleteLet's just be vigilant. If they were caught the first time, it will be very difficult next time, everybody will be watching
