ANDREA BRILLANTES: The Next Superstar?

I'm getting senile, it always escaped my mind lately that I was the President of the Andrea Brillantes Everlasting Everloyal Forevermore Fans Club. The Musically video of Andrea became viral without me noticing it.

Anyway, it's not really a big surprise that the videos would become hits. After all, Andrea is the first Pinay actress  to become the favorite of many even without seeing any of her films. Incredible, you say? Just trust me, she has her ways but I won't be more specific than that.

Well, I'm still on vacation but my assistant was excited. He spoke mysteriously as if he's possessed by some strange libidinal power:  the moons and the stars have so lined up that  Bailey May must be paired with Andrea Brillantes?!

Any news about Andrea will surely catch my interest because I happened to be the President of the Andrea Brillantes Everlasting Everloyal Forevermore Fans Club. You see, Andrea is the first Pinay actress to become the favorite of many even without seeing any of her films. It turned out Bailey May is becoming the favorite as well of many without seeing any of his films. Baffling, no? My gay assistant is really beside himself. He must really have seen something in Bailey for him to be so breathless.

 Anyway, how can you lose with an Andrea-Bailey loveteam? Why not?

I have a good title in mind for a film but I'd rather not say. I might give away the punchline.

Suffice to say, these are interesting times in local showbiz.

Andrea: Exclusively Yours

Andrea Brillantes is probably the only Pinay actress who became the favorite of many people even without seeing any of her films or shows. As they say in Tagalog, basta- somehow, many people suddenly decided she was their favorite Pinay actress and that's it, so be it. There's really no need to justify one's taste. This incredible surge of admiration is now paying off- like in our case, we accidentally saw her in the film Everyday I Love You without knowing beforehand that she was even included in the cast. Wow, what a performance! Not even half a minute blip on the screen but the members of Andrea Brillantes Everlasting Everloyal Forevermore Fans Club really cheered their hearts out.

 Btw, to those who want to join the Fan Club, it is by invitation only. We have this rigorous  checklist of strict qualities that a prospective member should have, primary of which is the possession of a really pleasing face (No Plastic Surgery, please). Not to mention a certain level of IQ. It is that exclusive.

 But no need to fret, you can watch more of Andrea now. Apparently Andrea is appearing in the teleserye Pangako Sa Yo.

Andrea Returns

I've almost forgotten I was the President of the Andrea Brillantes Everlasting Everloyal Forevermore Fans Club. All the members haven't seen any of her full-length  films but for some strangely  "inspiring" reason, we became really so impressed she became our favorite Pinay actress. But good news- we finally saw her in a movie! Accidentally at that!

 She was the young Liza Soberano in the film "Everyday I Love You" which I finally saw yesterday and as expected, she stole the show. At least, for the fan club members.

It was all worth it. We actually didn't invent a fan club for nothing.

Andrea Brillantes Fans Club Is Very Exclusive

Lest you forget, I am the President of the Andrea Brillantes Everlasting Loyalist Fans Club so I am featuring her again. Andrea is turning out to be the favorite Pinay actress of people who don't normally watch Pinoy or Asian movies. In fact, except for me, all of the members have never even seen any Pinoy or Asian movie, or don't know a Pinoy or Asian actor for that matter. This fan club was just recently organized- mind you, the membership can't be sneezed at. There's a neurosurgeon, even a financial analyst who is imagining Andrea Brillantes instead of thinking about the impending economic recession which might just explode any moment now because the world is already being drowned by mountains of debt. Well, that's the magic of Andrea, you are sucked into her world  ...

I just joined a fan club for the first time. When another friend read my first post on Andrea Brillantes about how my friend who has never seen a Pinoy movie nor knew a Pinoy actor, made Andrea her favorite actress, he suddenly called up to declare Andrea is also her favorite. Well, I guess I must make Andrea my favorite too. Andrea is really turning out to be special. All those who are not interested on Pinoy showbiz are making her their favorite. She is the future of Philippine movies.

We haven't seen any of her movies or shows but she is our favorite. So we decided to make our Andrea Brillantes Fan Club. I am the President, btw. So you'll see lots of Andrea in this blog from now on.

KarDrea: Juan Karlos Labajo & Andrea Brillantes

I have this close friend who has never seen a Pinoy movie & doesn't even know any Pinoy actor, and he looked at me as if I came from outer space when he learned I had a blog about Pinoy showbiz. But I was surprised to learn just yesterday he suddenly had a favorite Pinay actress though he has never seen any of her movies or shows yet.  One way or another, he must have been really impressed to become a fan. Strange indeed, it's looking now as if we were two friends who came from outer space. It gets stranger if you learn his favorite is a 12 year old girl. Right. I don't think my friend is a pedophile but I am really glad he has discovered we have a local actress worth appreciating. The converts are multiplying. Andrea Brillantes, his favorite, is really pretty and will surely grow up to be a very sexy actress. She already has a loveteam (14 year-old Juan Karlos Labajo has a music video here, just access it on the sidebar archives)  and very soon they'll be threatening Jadine, Kathniel & Lizquen.
